Unfortunately we couldn’t get there until late but they accommodated our needs with the arrival time, there’s also a large car park which was perfect for us as we arrived in a small horsebox. We used T&J Motel as a starting point for a 7 day visit to Kent. We stayed for 3 nights and found the rooms very clean and comfortable. We were very pleasantly surprised on arrival to find a kitchenette in the room with a fridge, toaster, kettle, microwave, sink etc.Also a good selection of cereals, loaf of bread, apple juice and 4 pints of milk, plus various jams/marmalades/teas etc. for breakfast. The shower room was very clean with soft towels. The location of the motel was ideal for us as it was situated between Lenham and Crowborough, two areas we were visiting.We ate at the local public house on the first evening The Brown Trout.We would definitely use the motel again. I was staying on my 1st night with my mum who was having an operation at the Benenden hospital the next day. We had not specified an accessible room due to Booking.com suggesting all rooms were accessible. The staff were amazing, offering us a ground floor room for that evening and we were able to have our upstairs room for the remainder of the stay. Lovely, comfortable and spotlessly clean rooms. A superb hidden gem. All the things I would expect from a motel but more.The included breakfast was adequate (bread, butter, jam, marmite, chocolate spread, a toaster, cereal, milk and orange juice)It filled us up enough to last until lunch time.A lovely little play area if you have kids and a couple of snack machines which were very reasonably priced.The owner was very flexible with my arrival time which was reassuring.

What a find! Spacious, spotless accommodation. A quiet and comfortable night with the surprise of a complimentary light breakfast to follow. Drink making facilities extended to fresh milk stored in a full sized fridge and a small microwave oven to heat it. Fridge also held butter and preserves for breakfast, with fresh bread and toaster also supplied. Bathroom also spotless with a spacious,low level access shower with the best electric shower we’ve ever used. Highly recommended.

The room was a good size for four of us and the cot that we had requested was all set up and ready, which was appreciated. It was clean and overall, offered good value for money. Our late arrival was no problem because we’d called ahead to make arrangements. The trial complimentary breakfast suited us well with no shops or other amenities in walking distance; it meant we weren’t rushing out to find something on the morning after a late arrival (and a very long journey!). I would recommend this venue.

We stayed at T&J Motel for 6 days.The location of the motel is excellent for exploring Kent.The room, bed and shower were vey clean and recently refurbished.On the minus side, the WiFi was very poor and there were some impracticalities, like limited equipment of the kitchen and not enough hooks in the shower to hang towels etc.Our stay was very comfortable and we would recommend the motel to others.

I was looking for somewhere to stay the night as I was travelling for work. I booked a single person room. Upon arrival I was pleasantly surprised by the surrounding area. Such lovely scenery and there was actually a cute little park that would be ideal for families. Upon check in I was greeted by a really helpful young gentleman who gave me my keys and asked if I needed any help.I was greatful to have been upgraded to a double room. The room and its facilities were absolutely spotless. Lovely little welcome note on the table and tea,coffee etc provided.I also must say that as travelling as a lone woman for the first time I was super nervous about feeling safe but I felt completely safe here! I slept amazingly, no surrounding noises and the bed was spot on for comfort!Check out was easy the next morning.I will be returning in the summer with my children and will be sure to use again if travelling for work. This Motel is located off a busy main road. The Microwave and fridge came in very handy. The kitchen had mugs, plates, cutlery. Towels were provided too. I liked the shower cubicle as it was fairly big. Lots of parking spaces available and I went on a 3 mile walk to the local fish & chip shop as there are no shops / restaurants in the near vicinity.I would stay here again.At check in I was told how to connect to the wifi. However there was no broadband and I mentioned it at reception the last time that I stayed here but it was not resolved in the meantime. Not a big deal as I was able to use my mobile phone data, but it had made me to downgrade the experience by 1 star.

Every room has a nice clean Ensuit and a small kitchenetteThe bed was comfortable and I think the towels were the fluffiest , softest towels I ever had .The rooms on the second floor are very close together so noise can be an issue if you are very noise sensitive.The young man in charge of reception was polite but pretty grumpy. Could use a bit more front of house training .I would stay at T&J motel again and recommend it on.

we both really enjoyed our stay here.Our room was just right for us - space to move around, an extremely comfortable bed and a separate area for tea/coffee etc with a fridge and a microwave.Everything was spotless.We used the motel as our base for visiting Sisssinghurst and it was a perfect choice.Sissinghurst is just a short drive away and there is plenty more to explore in the area.The staff were particularly helpful and we would like to thank them, not only for the recommendation of places to eat (the Brown Trout gave us a super meal in lovely surroundings) but also for the help they gave us when we wanted to store some plants safely out of the glare of the sun (the visit to Sissinghurst!).Thank you very much.If we need to stay in this area again, we know where to come.

Being a Motel with its own campsite next to a busy road conjured up quite a low expectation in advance of our stay.Well how wrong we were, the room we had had a very handy kitchenette, was spacious, clean, well decorated and the owner was very helpful and attentive.Plenty of parking.As luck would have it the A21 was closed at night for roadworks, so we had a bonus of some very peaceful nights (inconsiderate neighbours excluded).However it was unavoidably noisy at other times if the windows had to be open.Could do with more power sockets of course, as all hotels, a shaver socket in the bathroom would also be handy.The electric shower is not great but good enough for the money.A great 4 night stay.

Very satisfactory stay, cleanliness very high- bin, windows, inside cupboards,shower room. Comfortable and great sized room withtv, kitchenette fridge with freezer section, perfect to re freeze cooler blocks. Breakfast was already in our room ready for the morning. Free flow to car if necessary and we felt safe. Back room no noise from road and very little sounds internally (not sure how many others were there but clearly we were all placed far enough from each other) likely to stay again as we visit local attractions and see friends.

Lovely room and well equipped for disabled people with a good sized wet room. All the kitchen resources needed for making a basic breakfast if you wished. Only downside is the walls are rather thin and family next door kept us awake. Would definitely stay again.

Everything was perfect from location, staff and high standard of facilities within room. It made our overnight stay enjoyable. Will surely return again when we travel back South.

Faultless from start to finish. Friendly receptionist gave good advice when checking in, the room was spotlessly clean and very well appointed - I could have happily stayed there for a week.Yes, there is some traffic noise (my room faced the road) but there is little that can be done about that. If you are sensitive to this,I suggest you request a room around the other side

Well maintained rooms, very clean and even in a family room very spacious.Room had double and two single beds, dining table and chairs, settee, tv unit and alcove for kitchen sink, cupboards, microwave, kettle and fridge.As stated very clean and looked after I would well recommend staying here and also reasonable price.There is a large play area for children which includes basketball net as well as usual park swings etc.It is approximately 30 minutes from Hastings and about 20 minute from Battle so a good base to stay.

Good size room, spotlessly clean. Decent shower and provided facilities. The bed was comfortable and slept well, you'd never know it was next to a busy main road with the windows closed. Check in and out easy and staff were cheerful and polite. Only things missed were iron, ironing board and a sponge for the washing up though I'm sure these would be provided on request.

Spotlessly clean accomodation. Comfortable bed. Nice large room. Microwave fridge and cutlery in the room. Free car parking on site. On side of A21 so some traffic noise. Very remote no shops or other amenities within walking distance, but a 10mins car drive will take you to Hawkhurst. Wifi poor, warm water in the room can be on and off.

Stayed overnight for a local wedding. Grateful to be able to check in early before heading out. The bedroom and bathroom were very clean. Great to have kitchenette with fridge, microwave, crockery and cutlery, continental breakfast ready in place for the morning. Comfortable bed. As I said, it was exactly what was required.

We really enjoyed our one night stay. The room was spacious and clean, with everything provided for a continental breakfast in the room. We didn’t expect a microwave or a fridge. Only criticism was the basin in the shower room. Too small and the tap was not effective. Couldn’t get any cold water out of it.

The room we stayed in was clean and had adequate equipment. No central heating but an electric wall heater which was efficient. My only complaint? The wooden bed frames were so designed that we frequently walked intothe knobs on the corners . Have bruises to show! Thank you

The room was lovely, clean, fresh & bright. Bed was very comfortable. Check in was easy and the staff friendly and helpful. 9 year old enjoyed the play area. Plenty of places to visit locally.Would happily stay again.Only suggestion would be for coat hooks on the back of the door in the bathroom to hang towels on and for a box of tissues in the room.

T & J motel is the best value hotel in the area. Having stayed at other hotels around Tunbridge Wells, T & J delivers on the overall experience, especially in Chalet 5 where for the same price as a budget chain hotel, you have your own self contained apartment. I appreciate being able to cook my own food in my own kitchen (a rarity as a business traveller!) and having a personal lounge area helps me to unwind without feeling like I’m just waiting in a bedroom.It’s function over fashion, but exactly what I need when away for work.

First time staying at the T&J Motel.We felt the excellent service with the kind welcome when we signed in,The chalet was spotless with our own parking.We will definitely stay here again and tell our friends.

We had a family room which was nice and clean and of a good size.The only small gripe would be the pressure of the shower was very low almost had to jog around to get wet.

We needed to find a hotel or B&B close to Tunbridge Wells as we were attending a family funeral. We wanted somewhere relatively quiet and able to give us privacy. This was all supplied at T and J Motel and in a pleasant rural location, with the bonus of a well stocked fridge. We thought it a good place to stay for a larger family group where older members might like to sleep indoors and have a proper shower room whilst younger relatives could camp nearby. Still sharing activities in the daytime with trips to the coast and local National Trust sites nearby.

We were impressed by the facilities available, the early check in as we were going to a wedding and the quietness of the room considering the busy road outside. However the king mattress was really uncomfortable which was a shame as this really let down an otherwise faultless night’s accommodation.

Nice rooms good size well equipped plenty of storage and as far as location the motel is ideal for many site seeing trips with Bewl Water centre very close which is a great family day out. There is also a nice mix of of camping on the site too with facilities for children. On the downside the water pressure in the shower was awful and the loo seat could do with fixing

Myself and my daughter stayed at this b&b and found it very clean, comfortable and the staff very accommodating they supplied me with a list of taxi firms which were very good arriving right on time. Also my daughter decided to come with me to late to book breakfast and they gave us extra cereal and we shared the rest which was plenty for us. Top marks for customer service.

From the moment we arrived, the team at T.J. Motel could not have been more helpful.We were located in unit 5, which had a living kitchen, double bedroom, 2 storage cupboards and a bath room.It was perfect for 2 adults with 2 racing bikes, and 2 wetsuits - the drying cupboard was brilliant.The room smelt as though it had been recently decorated, and the bedroom furniture looked new.The motel is located literally off the A21 so great access from the M25.Couldn't fault our stay,the accommodation or the wonderful team.Hoping to be back next year.

Lovely stay in this motel. I was impressed with how clean the rooms were. I had an accessible room so was very thankful for the wet room. Lovely to have a fridge and microwave in the kitchenette area as well.

Stayed here in 2018 & 2019, found the room excellent and close to where we needed to be. The owners on hand if needed... will certainly stay again and would recommend.

Very good really but if it helps you, here are 2 comments...1) In room 26, bathroom door doesn't' shut, because of carpet.2) Advertised breakfast leads one to believe that there is a restaurant/cooked breakfast, rather than certain itemsLeft in the room.

We had a very pleasant stay at T&J Motel. The staff was very friendly and always ready to help. The room was light and very clean, perfect hygiene in the bathroom and the kitchenette. The lady who came by every day provided us with fresh towels and made the entire room look spic and span! Some "small" details showed that her work was done with great care. We felt very comfortable and cosy. Nice big TV-screen. A few small remarks : some hooks to hang clothes on,and a drying-rack would have been nice. As well as a power point in the bathroom, and a toaster in the kitchenette. But these things will not stop us from coming back to T&J and recommending this nice motel to other people. Thanks so much!

No frills but clean and comfortable.

I was coming up for the polocrosse and this little place was just what we needed for a night. Plenty of space, very clean and tidy. The towels and bedding almost seemed brand new as did all the paintwork. I'd definitely come back to stay again.

Everthing is good except breakfast arrangement.Please state clear Motel just helped to purchase breakfast and we need to self service. Honestly we did not need such purchase services especially in such price - £5 for each.

Clean basic room at a reasonable price - got what I expected and paid for. My friend had problems with the wifi with his phone - I didnt!

Clean bright twin room, recently redecorated, with nice shower, kitchen facilities. Although on busy road, no traffic noise. Helpful staff, efficient. Continental breakfast well worth £5. Good pub just up road. If you want a basic good value room then this is perfect. Note entrance is easy to miss on busy main road.

Stayed here overnight after attending a concert at Bedgebury Pinetum.We were really impressed, spotlessly clean and everything we needed was there including tea, coffee, toiletries.Very spacious and lovely fluffy towels!!

This was my second stay at T and J Motel, and like the first time, staff were very freindy and helpful, the room was fist class, i love the kitchenet so usefull. It was clean and comfortable. I will be staying again

This has become my go to place when in the area. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped, the staff are very helpful and friendly and it's in a good location. They even cope with my hamfisted use of the online booking system!

Booked 2 triple rooms. Keys to 21 & 31. Room 21 on ground floor had wetroom bathroom & 31 was conventional shower. Both rooms had fridge & microwave. Whole place spotless and half the price of Tunbridge wells. 10 minutes taxi ride into town. Well pleased.

Everything about T&J motel either met,or exceeded my expectations. I emailed asking for an early check in, expecting a charge, there was none. I duly rolled up, and the lady on reception was both friendly and efficient. The room was of a higher standard,and better equipped than I'd expected too. The bathroom, in particular would shame many more expensive hotels. You could happily use the room as a base for a self catering stay as its equipped with most of what you might need. I'll be staying here again. The only negative was some external noise overnight, but there may have been a party nearby.

We stayed in the motel. Not really expecting much, so were impressed by the decent size of the room and cleanliness of the en-suite bathroom which was spotless. Allow extra time on the A21 in busy periods.

I had 5 members of staff staying at T and J motel this weekend and they were all very happy with their rooms and the standard of cleanliness. Also reservations were very amenable and helpful when I phoned before the staff's stay to ensure easy check in for my staff. Would definitely recommend.
